Bettina
Bettina Pousttchi (b. 1971, Mainz, Germany) is a Berlin-based artist known for her interdisciplinary practice spanning sculpture, photography, and installation. Her work explores the structures of time, space, and identity, often using urban materials like bollards, crash barriers, and clocks to question systems of control and public infrastructure. Her acclaimed series World Time Clock captures synchronized images of clocks around the globe, highlighting global time zones and interconnectedness. Pousttchi studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and the Whitney Independent Study Program. She has exhibited at the Hirshhorn Museum, Berlinische Galerie, and Nasher Sculpture Center, among others.
