Rocío García

Rocío García (b. 1955, Santa Clara, Cuba) is a Cuban painter known for cinematic, psychologically charged works exploring desire, sexuality, power, and human relationships. Drawing on the visual language of film noir, comics, and graphic novels, she constructs enigmatic scenes populated by recurring characters and unfolding narratives. Her paintings often use humor, eroticism, and ambiguity to challenge conventions around gender and identity.
