Sara Flores

Sara Flores creates intricate geometric paintings rooted in Kené, the ancestral visual tradition of the Shipibo-Konibo people of the Peruvian Amazon. Using natural dyes prepared from locally sourced materials, she composes labyrinthine patterns that express the interconnectedness of ecological, spiritual, and human systems. Her work preserves and reimagines a matrilineal Indigenous practice passed down through generations.
