Sydney Acosta

Sydney Acosta (b. 1987), American artist born in San Antonio (Yanaguana, TX), lives and works in Los Angeles, known for evocative drawings and paintings exploring representation, memory, subjectivity, and imagery drawn from everyday and dream sources, she earned a BA from California State University, Sacramento (2015) and an MFA from UCLA (2021), has exhibited widely including solo and group shows in LA galleries and received awards like the Helen Frankenthaler Painting Award and an LA Lakers grant.
