Join us to celebrate the release of . . . AGAIN, a harrowing documentation of MAGA America’s landscape by Mark Nowak. In his sobering voice, Nowak captures the depredations of capitalism, the desensitizing regularity of mass shootings, and the extremism that has fueled white nationalism. The author chronicles transformations as the seasons change around him, from the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and the January 6 insurrection through Donald Trump’s reelection, attempting to make sense of a bitterly divided nation that voted for a polarizing figurehead . . . again.
For this reading and intimate first look at the book, Nowak is joined in conversation by José Olivarez, former curator of Poetry & at Dia. Visitors are invited to come early and stay late to view the accompanying video projections. A book signing will follow the event.
