1st Contemporary JOMON Art Exhibition in New York brings together eighteen artists, including Akiko Matsuo, Nina Kuo, and organizer Atsuko Mu Yuma, in paintings, sculptures, installations, and performances inspired by Japan's Jomon period. Works draw on the forms of Jomon pottery and Dogu clay figurines, using rope, fiber, wood, and paint. The show explores reverence for the earth, harmony with nature, and ancient wisdom in the present.
