Perrotin presents A Certain Landscape, a solo exhibition of works by Shim Moon-Seup. Inspired by the seascapes of Tongyeong, where he grew up and later returned, Shim explores time, space, and nature through canvas and paper. A former sculptor, his work challenges material properties and spatial perception. His recent pieces continue his long-standing inquiry into dimensionality, using brush and canvas to evoke the same conceptual depth once achieved through wood, stone, and steel.
