A Nervous System is Matthias Groebel’s second solo exhibition at Ulrik. The exhibition brings together two bodies of work: watercolors on canvas made in 2025 and the earlier Chemical series from the 1980s. Across both, Groebel examines image formation through analog photography, mechanical processes, and painterly intervention, emphasizing microstructure, exposure, and the concept of latent imagery.
