The exhibition grew out of an organic process. It began with a single painting and an attraction to its use of color. That initial impulse led to another, and then another, until color itself became the central focus of the work. I didn’t set out with a00 fixed idea or intention; the paintings evolved intuitively, each representing a different process, yet continually returning to color.
Somewhere along the way, the process began to reflect something more personal—a sense of what I was feeling, and perhaps what I needed in my life at that moment. The exhibition became as much an exploration of that instinct as it was an exploration of color itself.
