A Thousand Years presents sixteen new sculptural works by Vincent Pocsik, including debut functional pieces—chairs, chandeliers—that collapse distinctions between utility and sculpture. Working in wood, cast metal, stained glass, and fiber, Pocsik assembles tools, fruit, flowers, umbrellas, and hands into hybrid forms that oscillate between the familiar and the surreal. The title draws from a Shaker maxim: do all your work as though you had a thousand years to live.
