Andrew Edlin Gallery presents the first NYC exhibition for Abraham Lincoln Walker (1921-1993), an East St. Louis artist who painted privately while running a house painting business. Deeply spiritual, he painted in solitude, drawing from personal experiences and the changing landscape of his city. His work evolved from detailed urban scenes to surreal, visionary imagery. Using varied techniques, he created textured, luminous compositions, exploring celestial and emotional depths in his later years.
