KATES-FERRI PROJECTS presents Adorned Terrains: Portals of Possibility, Ashanté Kindle’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. Through textured works incorporating hair adornments, bold colors, and layered surfaces, Kindle explores memory, identity, and resilience. Inspired by Black hair’s cultural significance, her pieces transform it into landscapes of lived experience. Her work, deeply personal yet universal, positions Black hair as both a creative force and an archive of history and possibility.
