Gary Gissler’s exhibition presents large mixed-media panels made from layered fragments of texts by writers, thinkers, and musicians. Minimal and abstract at first glance, the works reveal dense, hand-cut words that challenge viewers to search for meaning. Centered on 136 drawings of Moby Dick chapters, Gissler explores the tension of language as both a tool and barrier to understanding reality, inviting reflection on interpretation, connection, and perception.
