Marc Selwyn Fine Art presents Akinsanya Kambon’s first exhibition, featuring his works that document suppressed histories and celebrate African heritage. Kambon, a former Marine, Black Panther, and art professor, incorporates his Pan-Africanist beliefs into ceramics, sculptures, and wall plaques. His pieces combine African spirituality and American historical narratives. Using a Western version of Japanese Raku firing, Kambon creates figures that embody resilience, cultural pride, and storytelling through a spiritual process.
