Allá Afuera ("out there") is a multidisciplinary exhibition by self-taught Puerto Rican artist Joshua Nazario Lugo, drawing on his longest time away from the island. Through painting, sculpture, and installation, he weaves personal memory with Puerto Rican cultural identity, juxtaposing local materials with symbols of luxury, and everyday scenes with broader diasporic narratives. The works treat migration not as a single event, but as an ongoing, generational condition.
