Jack Shainman Gallery presents Amalgams and Graphts, a new exhibition by Nick Cave. The show features large bronze sculptures, Amalgams, which symbolize resistance and growth against oppressive systems. The sculptures evolve from Cave’s iconic Soundsuits, blending natural forms with human bodies. Alongside, Cave introduces Graphts, mixed media self-portraits using needlepoint and vintage trays to explore race, class, and identity. Both series invite reflection on personal and societal power structures. This marks the inaugural exhibition in the gallery’s new Tribeca location.
