In MOCA Focus: Ana Segovia, the artist reinterprets Mexican cinema to question cultural constructions of masculinity. Using vivid colors and cinematic framing, Segovia revisits scenes from the 1983 film I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You, depicting a queer love story. Through paintings, a mural, and script excerpts, the exhibition reimagines hypermasculine figures and reclaims narratives shaped by film and national identity.
