Robert Longo's new exhibition draws inspiration from Paul Klee's Angelus Novus and Walter Benjamin's concept of the "angel of history"—a figure caught between witnessing the past and being thrust forward into an uncertain future. Longo channels this tension through an array of allegorical imagery spanning natural and cultural subjects: crashing waves, tigers, blooming peonies, and pivotal twentieth-century figures.
