*Angelus Novus*, Stefanie Heinze Hüller’s first exhibition devoted entirely to figuration, presents enigmatic scenes of fallen statues, pilgrims, ruins, and isolated figures. Inspired by Walter Benjamin’s “angel of history,” the paintings move between antiquity and the present, exploring collapse, memory, social disconnection, and the possibility for change amid the wreckage of the past.
