Taut is a solo exhibition of abstracted still life paintings by Los Angeles–based artist Annie Pendergrast. The works depict flowers, vases, grids, and patterned grounds rendered through precise gradients and graphic color systems. Still life functions as a formal framework for examining color, structure, and control, with deliberate disruptions that introduce vulnerability and emotional presence within refined compositions.
