KAJE presents Anvil, a site-responsive commission by Gregory Kalliche featuring a 3D animated video, layered cels, synchronized lighting, and sound. Inspired by a table vise, Anvil explores the tension between digital simulations and physical laws. Objects interact with the vise, triggering lighting changes that extend digital choreography into reality. Referencing cartoon physics, the project questions how digital imagery reshapes perceptions of materiality, pressure, and transformation.
