Curmudgeon is pleased to announce its next exhibition at Nine, Anywhere but Here. This ten-person group show presents contemporary approaches to landscape art. The landscape has long been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists, carrying a rich and complex art-historical lineage. The artists in this exhibition engage the landscape through a wide range of concepts, from confronting humanity’s violence toward the environment to expressing a direct admiration for nature’s sublime beauty. Each artist, all of whom have lived in NYC at some point, brings a distinct approach, ranging from abstract sculpture to intricate plein-air watercolor painting.
