Lichtundfire is pleased to announce and welcome all to the Opening Reception of ARIADNE’s THREAD, the first of two Anniversary Exhibitions based on the ancient Greek myth of ARIADNE, and marking the 10-Year-Gallery-Anniversary of Lichtundfire since its inception on 175 Rivington Street.
The exhibition with work in various media, painting, process work, sculpture, and works on paper, reflects on the legend of the sharp-witted daughter of King Minos, the Cretean Princess Ariadne, who, with logic and the means of a golden thread, finds herself out of a seemingly impossible situation and the way out of the labyrinth guarded by a Minotaur.
