This exhibition examines posters created by Peter Strausfeld for London’s Academy Cinema, an art house theater dedicated to international film. Using predominantly single-color linocut designs, Strausfeld produced distinctive printed images that reflected the experimental character of the films they advertised. The works demonstrate a localized approach to cinema promotion and the visual culture surrounding art house film.
