As Familiar As Friend brings together Erin Lee Jones and J.A Feng through the metaphor of Indra’s Net, a Buddhist model of universal interconnectedness. Drawing on personal mythologies and origin stories, Feng’s paintings emerge from poetic and observational prompts, forming fantastical yet internally ordered worlds. Jones’s sculptural monoprints reference ancient seals and reliefs, collapsing past and present through hybrid figures and patterned surfaces. Both artists emphasize material transformation and relational systems.
