Back to the Source marks Marian Goodman Gallery’s first exhibition of Ana Mendieta’s work, featuring films, photographs, drawings, and ephemeral sculptures from 1972–1985. Mendieta used her body, natural materials, and the elements to forge rituals of transformation, exploring impermanence, power, and connection to the earth across her time in Iowa, Mexico, and Cuba.
