Before the Light Fades is Hélio Luís’ first New York solo exhibition, presenting paintings inspired by the coastal landscapes north of Lisbon where the artist grew up. Set at dusk along cliffs and beaches, the works capture the fleeting transition from day to night, evoking the anticipation, mystery, and freedom of evening as familiar landscapes become charged with possibility.
