A.I.R. Gallery presents Beside the Sun, a solo exhibition by Ohan Breiding examining photography’s role in resource extraction. Breiding reinterprets discarded Great Depression-era images, emphasizing the erasure of non-human life. A large-scale installation of hole-punched archival prints highlights systemic violence, while sculptures and still-life photography challenge historical narratives. Through these works, Breiding reimagines photography as a site of memory, loss, and transformation.
