Biomorphic Moments fills the gallery with hand-built ceramic sculptures by Christopher Adams, whose background in biology, zoology, and medicine shapes every form. Drawing on the concept of adaptive radiation, whereby an organism enters a new environment and evolves rapidly, the works suggest familiar plants and animals without depicting specific extant organisms. Modular and ever-evolving, the sculptures accumulate across the walls in systems that feel simultaneously biological and cosmological.
