Fridman Gallery presents BLUE OBIA, Remy Jungerman’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. Drawing from Afro-Surinamese Winti practices and Maroon culture, Jungerman uses materials like cotton, kaolin clay, and wood to create structured, minimalist works. Centered on ritual and ancestral connection, the exhibition explores spiritual resonance through blue pigment, symbolic grids, and references to rivers linking Suriname, the Netherlands, and New York.
