Devin Troy Strother’s *B M W (A Black Man’s Wish)* explores aspiration, identity, and status through the cultural symbolism of the luxury car. Drawing on 1980s Harlem slang and his own BMW, Strother uses humor and irony to examine the distance between fantasy and reality. The exhibition considers how corporate symbols are transformed through Black vernacular into expressions of desire, mobility, and self-image.
