In 1975, Bob & Bob met in Llyn Foulkes' class at ArtCenter College of Design. Rejecting commercial success, they made irreverent performances, music, film and visual art mocking the art establishment with absurdist humor.
Working from a Beverly Hills office in suits and ties, they became central figures in LA's groundbreaking performance art history. The exhibition Bob & Bob: 50 years of Art | lost and found at Craig Krull Gallery features works on paper, a media room with vintage performance reels, and related ephemera. Collections: LACMA, MOCA, The Getty, MOMA. Archives at the Smithsonian.
