Body Shop presents Beverly Semmes’s new works examining desire, consumption, and the female body. Soft sculpted bodices merge with luxury and everyday slippers and altered pornographic images from her Feminist Responsibility Project. These wall-mounted hybrids turn garments and consumer goods into bodily surrogates, playing desire against excess, humor against unease, and exposing the gap between fantasy and fulfillment.
