Michel Pérez Pollo’s Bolero presents nine large-scale paintings inspired by the Cuban musical genre and the love song Longina. Each work abstracts a syllable from the lyrics, linking form and sound to evoke emotional depth. Using improvised models as a starting point, Pérez Pollo constructs precarious, biomorphic compositions, which he meticulously renders with dramatic lighting and rich hues. The result is a fusion of photorealistic precision and expressive gesture, capturing poetic resonance.
