Pop Gun is excited to announce Cable Knit, a three person exhibition showcasing Alex Bag, Christopher Gambino, and Molly Soda. In Cable Knit, a quasi-domestic room poses as a study on the role of television, how-tos, and storytelling. Traversing between mediums these artists find redundancies in the constant re-creation of media and its characters. Instead of simply satirizing or romanticizing these redundancies they write their own scripts, presenting the obvious direct-to-camera. If Bag, Soda, and Gambino each act as their own protagonists, Cable Knit is the accumulated detritus, ephemera, and costume of their own performance.
