Cache Machine is a multimedia installation by New York based collective 29 Speedway and founder Ben Shirken. Presented as a short run residency, the project takes the form of a generative sound installation with intermittent performance programming using a multi channel speaker array. The work examines the physical and sensory residue of industrial computation, translating machine processes such as writing, erasing, and data circulation into a somatic auditory experience.
