Cassi Namoda: Night Always Returns at 303 Gallery presents new paintings structured as four nocturnes, where nightfall activates a heightened sensory and symbolic world. Drawing on art history and post-colonial Mozambican narratives, Namoda interlaces figures—human, animal, ancestral—in dreamlike vignettes. The exhibition is accompanied by Amin, a media piece evoking the artist’s maternal roots in Quelimane through archival footage, sound, and prayer, evoking memory, presence, and transformation.
