“Ceci N’est Pas Une Guerre - This Is Not A War” at Eli Klein Gallery presents works by 17 Vietnamese artists who challenge the dominant narrative of Vietnamese art as defined by war and trauma. Instead, the exhibition explores identity, memory, and cultural evolution through diverse perspectives, highlighting artists who engage with issues like queerness, displacement, and cultural hybridity. Curated by Do Tuong Linh, it offers a multifaceted view of Vietnamese contemporary art beyond conventional stereotypes.
