Cécile Roberfroid’s Carried, Not Told moves between abstraction and the figure. In luminous oil paintings, citrus yellow, ochre, rose, and green are layered and rubbed back until shoulders or rows of standing figures emerge, while grisaille works show two people holding each other in scraped white. Works on paper layer torn maps, stitching, and oil. The show explores passage, holding, concealment, and unspoken experience.
