Charlie James Gallery presents El Mañana, Erick Medel’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. Working with a sewing machine on heavy denim, Medel transforms thread into vivid portraits of street life in Boyle Heights, capturing resilience, beauty, and everyday joys amid hardship. His scenes range from vendors and Dodger crowds to neighborhood flora and fauna, layering personal and cultural histories. Alongside, Medel curates Neighbors, a group show highlighting artists from his own community.
