LaJuné McMillian’s Child/ren of the Bloom is an interactive installation at Pioneer Works exploring the threshold between land and sea. Developed with OceanX Education, it follows Child—an avatar in the artist’s Mother of the Sun project—through water, algal blooms, and bioluminescence, with a sensor-driven video environment that turns visitors’ gestures into shifting scales of oceanic life.
