Erin Milez’s Chimera explores the psychological and physical transformations of motherhood. Drawing from literature and art, she reflects on the perpetual state of change in parenting. In Goodnight, Lion (2024), a bedtime scene blurs domestic and untamed spaces, subtly questioning roles and entrapment. By incorporating fathers as nurturing figures, Milez challenges historical depictions of parenting. Her vivid color palette captures the tension, beauty, and complexity of family life.
