Chocolate Cosmos, String of Pearls at Berggruen Gallery presents new mixed-media botanical assemblages by Jane Hammond, marking her third solo exhibition with the gallery. Hammond combines relief printing, linocut, painting, and collage to create fantastical bouquets that fuse living and extinct flora, found photographs, and symbolic associations. Both ravishing and elegiac, these works highlight ecological precarity while drawing on global traditions of ceramics, glass, and papermaking. Her intricate compositions—balancing tension, harmony, and surprise—transform the natural world into layered allegory and myth.
