Woody De Othello’s exhibition presents ceramic and wood sculptures, tiled wall works, and a large bronze that consider connections between body, earth, and spirit. Drawing on precolonial and diasporic African traditions, he animates anthropomorphic forms and everyday objects to explore memory, emotion, and the presence of unseen forces.
