Luke Rogers: Coughing in the Pipes

Moskowitz Bayse Los Angeles · Mid-City
Exhibition on view: Sep 13, 2025 - Oct 25, 2025

Luke Rogers’ paintings examine water, control, and infrastructure across California, from dams and aqueducts to household sinks. His works give equal weight to natural and manmade systems, capturing both utility and fragility. Through painterly mark-making, shifting palettes, and unresolved surfaces, Rogers conveys ecological tension and human impact, presenting a world where objects, environments, and forces coexist in uneasy equilibrium and continuous transformation.
