Cricket Music

Matthew Brown, NYC New York · Tribeca / SoHo
Exhibition on view: Jun 30, 2026 - Jul 31, 2026

Cricket Music brings together eleven artists whose works unfold like living systems rather than fixed objects. Borrowing its title from Walter De Maria’s 1964 performance with recorded crickets, the exhibition explores the space between intention and perception, where rhythm, atmosphere, and transformation converge. Through painting, sculpture, and ceramics, the artists cultivate forms that shift between structure and spontaneity, inviting viewers to experience abstraction as something organic, mutable, and alive.
