In the opening marks the debut exhibition at Chris Sharp Gallery’s new space, featuring ceramic sculptures by Oakland-based duo CrossLypka. Tyler Cross and Kyle Lypka create freestanding and wall-mounted works whose tactile surfaces evoke coastal erosion and cryptic symbolism. Their forms, informed by drawing and reduced glazes, balance clarity and ambiguity, referencing both pictorial and spatial presence while resisting strict categorization as painting or sculpture.
