CULT: THE AMERICAN DREAM is a group exhibition curated by Zachariah Buteux. The exhibition considers how the promise of upward mobility can take on insular and ritualized dimensions. Referencing symbols such as the house, porch, flag, open road, and small town diner, it examines the American Dream as a belief system shaped by media, politics, and White Christian ideals.
