David Daigle: The Death of Beauty explores desire, identity, and consumer culture through photography and sculpture. Using found advertisements and commercial imagery, Daigle perforates photographs and printed surfaces with carefully drilled openings, disrupting images designed to seduce and persuade. These interventions expose the material beneath while evoking pixels, wounds, and screens, transforming acts of destruction into excavation. The exhibition questions the authority of photographic images and examines how media shapes, distorts, and ultimately consumes our perceptions of beauty and truth.
