Wild Up presents the world premiere of Shelley Washington’s *The Room Begins to Rise*, created for Wild Up musicians and The Collective Orchestra, an open-invitation community ensemble. Inspired by “collective effervescence,” the work uses a flexible score of notation, images, text, and prompts to explore listening, cooperation, and collective creativity.
